Willard Boepple x Nu:Tone
Drum and Bass producer Nu:Tone has employed the artwork of Willard Boepple for his first solo release since 2014. The geometric, multi-layered drawings by Boepple provide the visuals for the single, including both the official artwork and video.
The contemporary, graphic quality to the drawings within the main artwork were broken down and further abstracted through moving image. Within the video, animated by Sundeep Toor, the individual shapes to the drawings pivot, expand and radiate against a black backdrop - these images being reminiscent of subtle etchings produced by Boepple in collaboration with the studio.
The augmented forms within the artist’s work compliment the tempo and are a peaceful accompaniment to an uplifting and upbeat piece of music.
